Info

Bleech 9:3 play Scala, London on 16 May 2026. Formed between Dublin and Brixton, the Irish alt-rock four-piece gathers the songwriting of Barry Quinlan and Sam Duffy, anchored by James Quinlan on bass and Luke O’Neill on drums. Their sets pivot on clean, insistent melodies riding alongside dense, saturated guitars, with a quiet–loud tension that shifts from restraint to release. A visual, introspective streak runs through the writing and into the live presence, shaping songs that hit hard while leaving space for detail.

Early releases like Ceiling and Jacky sketch that approach: direct, taut and melodic, sharpened on London stages. The group has opened for Shame and Keo and held a three-night residency at the Blue Basement, experiences that tightened their interplay and sense of dynamics. At Scala, they bring a compact show built around that chemistry: rhythm section locked, guitars grinding then pulling back, vocals carrying the hook with clarity. Bleech 9:3 assemble a set that speaks as much through contrast as through volume.
