Paul Weller brings his sharp, ever-evolving songbook to Dreamland Margate on 3 July 2026. Since the late 1970s, the Woking native has moved through British pop with a steady hand and a restless ear. First with The Jam, he pushed a lean, nervy writing style shaped by mod energy, punk urgency and soul undercurrents. Then came The Style Council with Mick Talbot, a wider frame where sleek pop met blue-eyed soul, jazz, funk and, towards the end, early house textures.

Launching his solo path in the early 1990s, Weller tightened the focus without losing range, folding melodic rock, folk, rhythm and blues and soul into concise, lived-in songs. Records like Wild Wood and Stanley Road anchored that period, while later projects—22 Dreams, Wake Up the Nation, On Sunset and 66—kept stretching the palette. On stage, he tends to let the songs breathe without fuss, moving from clipped mod snap to warmer, groove-led arrangements, and switching eras with ease.

In Margate, expect a set that draws lines between The Jam, The Style Council and his solo catalogue, with room for newer cuts alongside staples. No nostalgia freeze-frame, more a continuous thread from the late 70s to now, carried by a band built for clarity and drive.
