Info
Squeeze play the Brighton Centre on 5 December 2026, led by the songwriting duo Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook. Born in London in the mid-1970s, they honed a taut, narrative pop that left its mark on British new wave. On the bill are the songs that made their reputation – Take Me I’m Yours, Cool for Cats, Up the Junction – mixed with tracks from landmark albums like East Side Story, as well as more recent releases Cradle to the Grave and The Knowledge.
On stage, the band goes straight to the point: melodic guitars, punchy keyboards, a precise rhythm section and that back-and-forth between Difford’s pen and Tilbrook’s voice. The songs relate slices of life, shaky romances and everyday details, carried by choruses easy to sing along to. Without unnecessary effects, Squeeze revisits their catalogue with present-day verve—faithful enough for longtime fans, spirited enough to hook new ones. An evening to measure the staying power of their compositions, between finely crafted pop and urban textures that still hold up.
