The Stylistics

The Stylistics bring the warmth of Philadelphia soul to G Live in Guildford on 24 November 2026. Formed in 1968 from the Monarchs and the Percussions, the group shaped an unmistakable mix of orchestral soul, soft R&B and vocal pop, carried by soaring falsetto leads and tight harmonies. On stage today, founding voices Airrion Love and Herb Murrell, joined by Jason Sharp, prolong that signature blend while giving the songs fresh live dynamics and an easy groove.

The set draws deep from the Thom Bell and Linda Creed years with titles like Stop, Look, Listen, You Are Everything, Betcha by Golly, Wow, People Make the World Go Round and You Make Me Feel Brand New, alongside later cuts from the Hugo & Luigi and Van McCoy collaborations that leaned toward disco and smooth pop-soul. Refined harmonies, mellow tempos and polished arrangements sketch a tour through a catalogue that marked the early 70s and beyond, revisited with the assurance of a band that has lived these songs on stage for decades.
