Alison Moyet

Alison Moyet plays The Forum, Bath on 17 November 2026. Emerging from the early-80s synth-pop duo Yazoo with Vince Clarke, Moyet built a solo path that folds electronic textures into soul, pop and shades of blues. Her contralto voice, dark-hued and agile, has framed albums from Alf and Raindancing through Hoodoo and Essex, then a quieter turn with Hometime, the orchestral covers of Voice, and the songwriter focus of The Turn. In the 2010s she reconnected with a lean electronic palette on The Minutes and Other alongside producer Guy Sigsworth, a thread that continues on stage.

This show draws across those eras, moving from pared-back synth pulses to fuller band arrangements. Expect Yazoo tracks reworked alongside solo material, intimate ballads offset by darker, minimal pop, and arrangements that leave space for phrasing and dynamics.
