Info
In Glasgow on 17 May 2026 at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Dodgy bring the tuneful, guitar-forward sound that linked them to britpop without boxing them in. Formed in Hounslow in 1990 by Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller, the band cut its teeth on power pop and alternative rock, crafting compact songs with clean hooks and close-knit harmonies. Their early run — The Dodgy Album, Homegrown and Free Peace Sweet — set the tone, with Staying Out for the Summer, Good Enough and If You’re Thinking of Me turning into communal singalongs.
On stage today, the original trio is joined by bassist Stuart Thoy, a four-piece that leans on chiming guitars, vocal blend and a steady groove. The set draws a line from the 90s staples to later chapters like Stand Upright in a Cool Place and What Are We Fighting For, leaving room for buoyant riffs as well as slower, more reflective turns. No frills, just songs carried by melody and interplay, revisiting the catalogue while keeping the focus on where the band is now.
