On June 27, 2026, the Au Large Festival brings together three distinct worlds at the Théâtre Silvain in Marseille: Kery James, David Walters and Tifol.
Kery James, a rapper born in Guadeloupe and shaped in Orly, deploys a direct, socially engaged writing style that spans more than two decades of French rap. From Si c’était à refaire to Dernier MC, and through collaborations with Passi, Rohff or Kool Shen, he has built a dense repertoire that oscillates between introspection and chronicles of reality. On stage, his clear diction and uncompromising lyrics take on a particular dimension, somewhere between a collective address and intimate confidences.
Franco-Caribbean musician and singer David Walters moves between Creole cultures, chanson and electronic music. A DJ and multi-instrumentalist, he combines supple rhythms, acoustic guitars and vocal performances in French, English or Creole. From Awa to Soleil Kréyol, and then Nocturne alongside Vincent Ségal, Ballaké Sissoko and Roger Raspail, he makes stripped-down ballads and Afro-Caribbean grooves converse, with a sense of connection inherited from his travels and his work as a cultural mediator.
Tifol completes the bill and adds a new shade to this encounter, where conscious rap and Creole vibrations answer one another for the duration of a Marseille evening.
