P.O.D.

On 23 June 2026 P.O.D. will take the stage at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The four-piece from San Diego — Sonny Sandoval, Wuv Bernardo, Traa Daniels and guitarist Marcos Curiel — has been shaping its own blend of nu metal, rap rock, alternative metal and reggae touches since 1992. Their songs rely on compact riffs, hip-hop phrasing and earworm choruses, with lyrics that stay personal and carry a spiritual bent.

With The Fundamental Elements of Southtown (1999) and Satellite (2001), P.O.D. stepped out of the local scene and found a balance between raw energy and more accessible melodies. Subsequent releases include Payable on Death, Testify, Murdered Love, The Awakening, Circles and most recently Veritas (2024). Live, P.O.D. shifts effortlessly between driving grooves and melody, with the intersection of styles at the core. Expect a set that places classics alongside new material — from Southtown and Alive to tracks from Veritas — delivered with a tight rhythm section, angular riffs and vocal lines audiences pick up on instantly.
