Info
On 30 September 2026, AmenRa will take over Le Trianon in Paris. Formed in Kortrijk around Colin H. van Eeckhout and Mathieu Vandekerckhove, the Belgian band has been developing since the late 1990s a heavy metal that moves between sludge, post-metal and doom. Their songwriting advances through stretched tensions, dense riffs and silences, then shifts into more direct, explosive outbursts. Vocals alternate between saturated screams and clean singing, punctuated by spoken or whispered passages that establish an almost ritual atmosphere. Part of the Church of Ra collective, AmenRa pays close attention to imagery, lyrics and stagecraft—a thread that runs from Mass III, Mass IIII, Mass V and Mass VI to more stripped-down formats like Afterlife or Alive. On stage, projections and minimal lighting structure the space and reinforce the dynamics of the songs, between weighty slowness and sudden shocks. A live show conceived as an immersive experience, carried by a spare visual approach.
