Dany Boon « Clown n’est pas un métier »

On March 11, 2027, Dany Boon is at the Reims Arena in Reims with “Clown Is Not a Profession.” A return to the one-man show for the comedian from the North, who dissects that peculiar trade where everything is laughed at, especially oneself. Between confessions and sketches, he revisits what shaped him: the small awkward moments of daily life, accents that stick with you, family misunderstandings, and the pressure to be funny at all times. He brings out his gallery of characters, slips in touches of his beloved ch’ti dialect, and observes our modern tics with an eye for detail.

The common thread: dismantling the label “clown” to speak about the work, the doubts, the backstage, and the mechanics of laughter that cannot be improvised. Boon moves from self-mockery to social portrait, offering a view that is at once tender and caustic on human foibles, and asks a simple question: what do we expect from a comedian today? A personal solo show that alternates confessions and short scenes, accent variations and characters, to find Dany Boon as close as possible to his playground: the stage.
