Florent Pagny

Florent Pagny returns to the stage with 65 Tour – Le Retour, a traversal of his four decades of songs carried by his direct, forward vocal delivery and his band. On the program are songs that have defined him, ranging from pop and variety to rock-influenced numbers, ballads that take their time, and carefully chosen covers drawn from his projects Récréation and Baryton. The back-and-forth he favors between intimate confession and more immediate energy is present throughout, in contemporary arrangements that give the vocals room to breathe.

Long settled between France and Patagonia, Pagny has built a popular repertoire without closing himself off, alternating engaged lyrics and revisited classics. On stage he gets to the essentials: interpretation, presence, clear diction, and a sense of crescendo. The concert unfolds as a journey through the eras while remaining true to his timbre and his distinctive way of expressing himself.
