Info
The Human League leads a night dedicated to British synth-pop at OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls on July 2, 2026. Formed in Sheffield, the group now centers on Philip Oakey with Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley. From their early minimal electronics to the melodic turn of Dare and beyond, their repertoire moves between cold textures, punchy rhythms and tight vocal harmonies, tracing a path that links new wave foundations to a more direct electronic pop.
Soft Cell, the duo of Marc Almond and David Ball, brings drum machines, sparse synth lines and a charged vocal delivery. Emerging from Leeds at the turn of the 1980s, they shaped a language that folds soul references into nocturnal electronics, from Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret to later returns like Cruelty Without Beauty and the 2022 album Happiness Not Included.
Alison Moyet completes the bill with a voice rooted in pop, soul and blues. First known with Vince Clarke in Yazoo, she has carried that contralto grain through solo albums that swing between analog warmth and clean electronic production, from Alf and Raindancing to The Minutes and Other. Three perspectives on UK electronic pop, same stage, same date.
