UB40 - The Unstoppable Tour 2026

UB40 formed in late-1970s Birmingham around a reggae rooted in working-class Britain, their name lifted from the unemployment form. Early on they built a following in pubs and benefit gigs before releasing Signing Off (1980) and Present Arms (1981), reggae with dub inflections and sharply social lyrics. From Labour of Love (1983) onward, the band explored covers of 1960s–1970s reggae alongside originals, opening a more melodic, pop-leaning path that carried through to Promises and Lies (1993). Their sound blends reggae, pop and rock, with brass lines out front, mid-tempo grooves and frequent version work. Across the 2000s, lineup changes reshaped the group after Ali Campbell’s 2008 departure and later Astro’s, while UB40 continued touring and recording with long-time members and new voices.

On October 11, 2026, UB40 brings The Unstoppable Tour 2026 to Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, 364 Smith Street, Canada. On stage, the band threads early cuts with Labour of Love selections and later tracks, carried by their horn-driven pulse and relaxed swing.
