Slope

Born in Duisburg’s hardcore underground, Slope blends big grooves, raw energy and a late‑’80s/early‑’90s crossover spirit, with their sights set on Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers. After Helix and then Losing Grip, the band broadened its scope with Street Heat (2021), a mix of funk, hip‑hop, grunge and taut riffs, supported by an increasingly assertive DIY aesthetic. Freak Dreams (2024) marks a milestone: tighter songwriting, expansive production and a crossover that goes beyond genre boundaries. In the wake of that release, Slope played Wacken, Hellfest, Summer Breeze and Resurrection Fest, and toured with Body Count, Lionheart and Madball.

In 2026, The Same Kids Just Louder synthesizes their DNA: rap and riffs, funk and flow, punchy choruses and well‑grounded heaviness, with a more direct sound that retains a playful edge. Slope will be in Paris on 18 October 2026 at Petit Bain to promote these new tracks alongside their earlier material, alternating between hardcore hits and looser passages designed for the stage.
