Info
The Wallflowers play the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on April 20, 2026. Formed in Los Angeles at the end of the 80s around singer-guitarist Jakob Dylan, the band traces a line between alternative rock, heartland influences and americana. The self-titled debut, produced by T Bone Burnett, set a roots-rock frame; Bringing Down the Horse refined the balance of electric guitars and keys that took them onto rock radio. With (Breach), Red Letter Days and Rebel, Sweetheart, they edged toward a more contemporary sound while keeping the storytelling and Dylan’s low, steady voice at the center. After a quieter stretch, The Wallflowers returned with Glad All Over, then Exit Wounds, reconnecting with folk-rock colors.
On stage, the focus stays on the songs: unhurried grooves, melodic lines and arrangements that leave space for keyboards, long held by Rami Jaffee. Lineups have shifted over time, but Dylan remains the constant, steering a repertoire that bridges classic American rock and modern pop textures.
