Valérie Lemercier

Valérie Lemercier returns to the stage at L'Olympia Paris on December 31, 2026. An actress, writer and director, she has created a world entirely her own, populated by characters who go slightly off-kilter, with finely honed dialogue and jolts that snatch the audience’s attention. She is known for her one-woman shows, in which she slips into different skins in the blink of an eye, for her eye for detail that upends conventions, and for the precise way she sketches the tics of the era without overplaying them.

On stage, she blends sketches, feigned confidences and little songs, working the contrasts between elegance and oddity. Her trajectory across film, television and theatre fuels a very fluid, highly visual performance, capable of moving from one character to another without warning. Here there is no pasted-on nostalgia or gratuitous showmanship; rather a gallery of figures that collide and respond to one another, with the timing she has mastered since the beginning of her career.
