David Hallyday « Requiem pour un fou »

On December 12, 2026, at the Zénith de Caen in Caen, David Hallyday presents Requiem pour un fou, a concert conceived as a dialogue between his songs and those of Johnny Hallyday. A songwriter, composer and musician, David returns to the stage with a repertoire that spans his albums and reinterprets his father’s signature songs, rearranging them in his own way. The program conveys his vision of the Hallyday legacy, balancing rock energy, pop melodies and more intimate ballads. Far from a mere tribute, it tells a story of lineage and transmission, supported by a solid band and a clear musical direction.

Since the start of his career, David has forged a path alongside Johnny’s. He is, in particular, responsible for the album Sang pour Sang, written and composed with his father. Requiem pour un fou extends this connection by putting it in today’s perspective, with a contemporary sound and the outlook of a son who has become an artist in his own right. It is an occasion to rediscover two repertoires that respond to each other and to measure what music can express as it is passed down from generation to generation.
