ALBOROSIE - nine mile TOUR

Alborosie arrives on 11 April 2026 at L’Escale in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire for a date on the Nine Mile Tour. Sicilian by birth and Jamaican by adoption for more than twenty years, Alberto D’Ascola has forged a reggae that crosses eras: roots, rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall and dub mingle there without borders. From beginnings marked by Soul Pirate to the staples Kingston Town and Herbalist, and on to the recent releases Destiny and Dub Pirate, he has developed a sharp producer’s signature within his Shengen universe.

On stage he comes with the Shengen Clan, a band seasoned on the world’s stages. Between a raspy flow and full-throated singing, he moves from toasting to melodies, linking tradition and the present. His collaborations with Kabaka Pyramid, Buju Banton, Jaz Elise and Burro Banton, as well as his work with Roots Radics, The Wailers United and King Jammy, trace a trajectory that draws from the roots while moving forward. At L’Escale, expect a journey through his catalogue where new tracks intersect with those that established him as a central voice of contemporary reggae.
