Sellig « Épisode 6 »

On 22 November 2026 at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès in Strasbourg, Sellig presents Épisode 6, a show he wrote and directs. True to his keen sense of observation, he probes everyday life and its grit — those small details that can make a day go off the rails. He takes apart ostensibly trivial situations to reveal what they really say. He revisits his culinary apprenticeship, where theory meets practice with very concrete rigor. He also talks about his self-styled “fifty-three-ish” age, harder to swallow than simply being in his fifties, with the clear-sightedness and self-deprecating humor that run through his work. And he opens the door on an old-fashioned Christmas at his famous sister’s, accompanied by Bernard, the brother-in-law with unflappable composure, for an unfiltered family tableau. For ninety minutes, Sellig strings together stories and characters, paces his scenes and turns the ordinary into lively stage material in which everyone recognizes their quirks, pet peeves and contradictions.
