Info

On April 25, 2026, Marcel et son Orchestre will be appearing at L’Arlequin Mozac. For more than three decades, the band has cultivated the art of going against the grain and a punk energy that has taken them into venues across the country and onto numerous festival stages. Their discography began in 1991 and includes over 130 tracks, spread across eight albums and two EPs. To their credit: more than 450,000 records sold and at least 2,500 concerts.

Marcel moves somewhere between Bourvil and Metallica, freely mixing an eclectic range of influences. They’ve even christened their sonic hybrids: raggabilly, trash-opérette (trash-operetta), country-sélectif (selective-country) and Blouck, short for Black-zouk. The band plays with bad taste, delights in cultivating a questionable image and doesn’t hesitate to press where it hurts, while knowing how to raise the volume when necessary. On stage, their trademark fits in 3 D’s: dance, mess around, denounce. A clear formula that sums up their approach since the beginning and explains why the urge to set audiences alight has never left them.
