Info
On 29 October 2026, Paul Heaton brings his sharp, melodic British songwriting to Utilita Arena Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne. After shaping pop in the 80s with The Housemartins, then widening the palette with The Beautiful South, Heaton has kept that same gift for warm hooks paired with lyrics that look closely at everyday English life, relationships, and the quiet contradictions of the country.
This show is a chance to hear that whole journey threaded together: indie-pop energy, pop-rock drive, and the soulful touch that sits underneath his voice. From his solo run (Fat Chance, The Cross Eyed Rambler, Acid Country) to the long-running duo chapter with Jacqui Abbott (from What Have We Become? through N.K-Pop), Heaton’s songs land because they’re direct, tuneful, and built around stories you recognise. Expect a set that moves between eras without fuss, putting the writing front and centre.
