On 4 December 2026, Dylan John Thomas lands at NX Newcastle with his rough-edged voice, guitar-led songs and that very Glasgow way of turning everyday stories into big, sing-along choruses. Raised on the Scottish songwriter circuit, he built his style the hard way, busking for years in the streets of Glasgow: simple fingerpicking, clean hooks, and lyrics that go straight to the point without dressing things up.
Spotted early on by Gerry Cinnamon, Dylan quickly moved from street corners to serious stages, opening tours across the UK and Europe and later stepping into bigger rooms as support for Liam Gallagher. Since “Nobody Else” (2019), he’s sharpened his pop instincts with tracks like “Jenna” and “Feel the Fire” (2021), developed alongside producer Rich Turvey on Ignition Records. EPs in 2021 and 2022, then his 2024 album, have confirmed what the live circuit already knew from festivals like TRNSMT, The Great Escape and Reading: this is an artist who thrives in front of a crowd, with songs built to be shouted back.
