Info
Ash bring their 1977 celebrations to Boiler Shop in Newcastle upon Tyne on 12 December 2026, revisiting the record that turned them from teenage outsiders into a defining 90s guitar band. Expect a set built around the album’s fast, punchy DNA: short songs that hit hard, pop instincts that keep everything instantly singable, and that tight pop‑punk/indie rock snap they’ve always made their own.
This anniversary run is the perfect excuse to hear those key tracks back in their natural habitat, with the kind of clipped riffs and clean, melodic choruses that made 1977 stick. Led by Tim Wheeler alongside Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray, Ash lean into the energy rather than nostalgia, playing these songs like they’re still built for sweaty rooms and loud voices. A night for anyone who likes their rock direct, catchy, and moving at pace.
