Rhys Fulber

Born in Vancouver in 1970, Rhys Fulber has established himself from the late 1980s in the Canadian electronic scene alongside Bill Leeb, first with Front Line Assembly and then with Delerium, two projects that linked industrial, ambient and more melodic synthetic music. His career has moved between EBM, industrial, electronica, techno and atmospheric textures, with a constant focus on structures, moods and the crosses between club formats and more cinematic writing. In Front Line Assembly, Fulber contributed notably to albums such as Caustic Grip (1990), Tactical Neural Implant (1992), Millennium (1994) and Hard Wired (1995), while his work with Delerium accompanied the project's evolution from Semantic Spaces (1994) to Karma (1997). In parallel, he developed other identities such as Conjure One, oriented toward downtempo and orchestral electronic music, started with the Conjure One album in 2002. Under his own name, since the late 2010s Rhys Fulber has released a series of records more directly rooted in dark, nervy techno, including Your Dystopia, My Utopia (2018), Ostalgia (2019), Diaspora (2020), Collapsing Empires (2022) and Balance Of Fear (2024). Based in Los Angeles, Fulber also pursues production for artists from industrial metal and rock, notably Fear Factory, which sheds light on the dense, mechanical and precise dimension of his sonic language.
