Evangelia
Born in New Jersey and raised between the United States and Crete, Evangelia, whose full name is Evangelia Psarakis, develops bilingual pop where Greek melodies, English-language refrains and regular references to Cretean traditions intersect. After singing in New York clubs and then leaving her teaching career to devote herself to music, Evangelia launched her recording career in 2020 with «Páme Páme». Her early tracks establish a contemporary pop format nourished by Greek folk elements, extended by collaborations with Eleni Foureira, Kelvin Jones, Amanda Tenfjord, Mente Fuerte, Good Job Nicky, Marseaux or Roi 6/12. The Alpha/Beta EP, released in 2024, formalizes this dual identity by offering several tracks in Greek and English versions. In 2025, Evangelia releases her first album, Peproméno, built around her Greco-American heritage with more pronounced nods to Cretean culture. The same year, «Vále» accompanies her participation in the Greek selection for Eurovision, before she continues in 2026 with the project Paréa and the EP Paréa: The Prelude, in a pop vein still open to reinterpretations of traditional motifs. On stage, Evangelia moves between Greece, Europe, North America and Australia, in a register that combines current pop songwriting, Mediterranean imagery and diasporic anchoring.
