LiSA
LiSA, whose real name is Risa Oribe, comes from Gifu Prefecture in Japan and early on gravitated toward a pop-rock repertoire strongly linked to animation. After starting in the independent band Chucky she moved to Tokyo and gained attention in 2010 as the singing voice of Yui in the fictional group Girls Dead Monster for the anime series Angel Beats!, a milestone that launched her national career. The shift to a solo path materialized with the EP “Letters to U” (2011) and the album “Lover"s"mile” (2012), where LiSA established a songwriting style mixing direct choruses, rock energy and more melodic ballads. The albums “Landspace” (2013), “Launcher” (2015), “LiTTLE DEViL PARADE” (2017), “Leo-Nine” (2020) and “Lander” (2022) continue this trajectory, between J-pop, alternative rock and tracks crafted for anime themes. LiSA has repeatedly collaborated with animation studios and franchises, notably on series such as Sword Art Online and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, which have firmly placed her name in the anisong field. Her vocal style, often associated with fast tempos and rock instrumentation, also includes slower, melody-centered and emotionally driven songs, enabling her to perform in concert halls, at Japanese festivals and at international pop- and anime-related events.
