Alexandra Kay
Born in Waterloo, Illinois, Alexandra Kay has developed a career in American country music since the mid-2010s, first as an independent artist and from 2025 with Wheelhouse Records. She gained online attention for covers of 1990s country songs posted on social media — a repertoire that also illuminates her aesthetic: autobiographical songwriting, direct melodies and contemporary country shaped by Nashville conventions. Before this musical visibility, her background included voice acting, advertising and musical theatre. She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in November 2022 and released her first studio album, All I’ve Ever Known, in 2023. In 2024 she appeared alongside Jelly Roll on 'Leave the Light On' for the Twisters: The Album soundtrack, and in 2025 she collaborated with Dallas Smith on the single 'How Do You Miss Me.' Her second studio album, Second Wind, was released the same year. In her songs, Alexandra Kay favors melodic, accessible country focused on personal storytelling, understated choruses and a vocal-forward delivery.
