Lotus Juice
Born in Japan in 1979, Lotus Juice spent part of his childhood in the United States after his family moved to New Jersey when he was eight — an experience that left a lasting imprint on his writing, which mixes English and Japanese. Initially rooted in hip-hop, Lotus Juice developed a rap-centered style characterized by flexible phrasing, frequent use of spoken word, and a knack for adapting his lyrics to fictional worlds. After early performances between Tokyo and New York, he launched his solo discography with Only a TEST in 2006, followed by CARPE DIEM in 2012, and 一人じゃない and Catch me if you can in 2016. His career is closely tied to anime and video game music, particularly from Persona 3 (2006), where his voice and lyrics secured a lasting place within the Persona universe, from Persona 4 to Persona Q. Lotus Juice also works as a lyricist and performer on projects related to Soul Eater, Black Butler, Katanagatari, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Noragami, Bungo Stray Dogs and Shin Kamen Rider, while maintaining a live presence both through solo concerts and the major stage events associated with Persona.
