Ebow

Born in Munich in 1990 under the name Ebru Düzgün, Ebow has since the early 2010s developed a career at the crossroads of rap, contemporary R&B and an urban pop infused with Middle Eastern influences. Hailing from the Westend district and marked by a Kurdish and Alevi family history, Ebow builds a voice centered on questions of identity, migration, gender, love, social anger and everyday racism. After early tracks circulated in Munich's independent scene, she released her self-titled debut album in 2013, then refined a more frontal and melodic aesthetic with Komplexität in 2017 and K4L in 2019. Based between Vienna and Berlin, Ebow later broadened her scope with Canê in 2022 and FC Chaya in 2024, where her rap alternates between a dry phrasing, singing and more airy refrains. She was also part of the Gaddafi Gals trio with Nalan and Walter p99 arke$, in a mode between experimental hip-hop, electronic and punk attitude. Over the years, Ebow has moved between clubs, festivals and transdisciplinary projects, while building bridges with cinema and television, notably as an actress in the series Strafe, which extends a body of artistic work rooted in personal expression as much as social observation.
