Cowgirl Clue

Born in Austin, Texas and based in Los Angeles County, Cowgirl Clue has since the mid-2010s been developing a project at the crossroads of electronic, electropop, electroclash, indie and witch house, with occasional country-tinged accents reworked in an intentionally artificial and dreamy aesthetic. After starting out as a DJ in her local scene, Cowgirl Clue released the single 'Cherry Jubilee' in 2015, followed by the Limelite EP in 2016, before expanding her repertoire with a series of tracks released online. Her debut album Icebreaker appeared in 2019 and laid the groundwork for a sound blending ethereal melodies, synthetic textures, cold rhythms and vocals often treated as an atmospheric element. In 2023, Cowgirl Clue released Rodeo Star, an album that pushes further the links between American imagery, alternative pop and nocturnal moods, with the singles 'Trailblaze ☆' and 'Picket Fence.' She subsequently toured the United States with artists from independent and electronic scenes such as Elusin, Kumo99 and Glixen. Her third album, Total Freedom, appeared in 2025 and extends this trajectory with a more open writing approach, between underground dance, indie electronic and psychedelic tones.
