Wolvennest

Born in Brussels around the musician and visual artist Corvus von Burtle, Wolvennest has since the mid-2010s developed a music at the crossroads of doom, psychedelic rock, dark folk and atmospheric black metal, with a strong occult and ritual dimension. Conceived as a collective rather than a fixed-format band, Wolvennest was built on a slow, dense and immersive approach, where overdubbed guitars, keyboards, theremin and ambient textures lay down tracks often stretched, between muffled tension, Gothic melancholy and hallucinatory drift. After a self-titled first album released in 2016, the project released Void in 2018 and Temple in 2021, affirming a broader writing and an aesthetic where dark psychedelia, spectral folk and metal weight cross. On stage, Wolvennest has circulated in contexts both metal, doom and experimental, with appearances at festivals such as Roadburn, Hellfest or Desertfest, which illuminates well its place apart between extreme music and more hypnotic forms. The Belgian collective has also worked with several guests across periods, while maintaining a sonic identity centered on trance, repetition and cinematic atmospheres.
