The Klittens

Formed in the Netherlands in 2018 around Yaël Dekker and Winnie Conradi, The Klittens have established themselves as an indie rock quintet operating between the Dutch scene and the UK independent circuit, with Laurie Zantinge, Katja Kahana and, more recently, Marrit Meinema in the lineup. The Klittens craft a sound of taut, melodic guitars where indie rock intersects with post-punk accents and nervy pop songwriting, without losing a direct and concise approach. After an initial string of singles in 2020 — including "Manic Dixi Dream Girl", "Bleeding Gums" and "Liebe Resi" — the band followed with "Canned Air", "Herkenbosch" and "Pristine Blue" in 2021, "Citrus" in 2022, then "Universal Experience", "Atlas" and "Reading Material" in 2023, and "Butter" in 2024. The Klittens have gradually broadened their reach by appearing at festivals such as Valkhof Festival in Nijmegen, Bevrijdingsfestival in Wageningen and The Great Escape in Brighton in 2025. The group also toured as support for Otoboke Beaver in 2023 and for BODEGA in 2024, milestones that position The Klittens clearly within an international indie-rock circuit.
