Jesse Daniel

Originally based on California’s central coast before joining the independent Texas country scene, Jesse Daniel has developed a sound rooted in traditional honky tonk and the Bakersfield style, with songwriting focused on the road, work and worn‑down life paths. Having come up in punk bands in his youth, he gradually moved toward classic country, blending shuffle, two‑step and slow ballads, which led him to play bars, clubs and dancehalls on the West Coast and across the American South. His debut full‑length, “Jesse Daniel” (2018), set out a direct style marked by steel guitar, fiddle and an unadorned vocal. With “Rollin’ On” (2020) he refined a more road‑oriented sound suitable for touring lineups, while “Beyond These Walls” (2021) slightly broadened the palette toward more narrative atmospheres without leaving the frame of traditional country. Often accompanied on stage and in the studio by guitarist‑writer Jodi Lyford, Jesse Daniel is part of a network of independent artists and labels that champion a classic approach to country, touring extensively in North America and appearing at festivals dedicated to honky tonk and Ameripolitan.
