The Arcadian Wild
Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, The Arcadian Wild brings together the songwriters Isaac Horn, Lincoln Mick, and Bailey Warren in a project that sits between indie folk, folk-pop, and progressive bluegrass. The band develops an acoustic writing style centered on vocal harmonies, string arrangements, and a constant dialogue between American traditions and a more contemporary approach to songwriting. The Arcadian Wild first drew attention in the mid-2010s with a clear chamber sound, carried by compositions where narrative folk, vocal counterpoints, and collective energy intersect. Their debut album, The Arcadian Wild, was released in 2015, followed by Finch in the Pantry in 2019, which extends this aesthetic by opening it more to pop and to more mobile structures. In concert as in recording, The Arcadian Wild functions as much a vocal ensemble as an instrumental one, with particular attention to arrangement and nuance, in a band format that remains rooted in Nashville's indie folk scene. The Arcadian Wild thus occupies a singular space between acoustic music, choral writing, and sensibilities drawn from contemporary Americana.
