Bombargo

Bombargo, formed in Canada, developed as an independent pop-rock band with funk, soul and retro influences, with songwriting oriented toward collective choruses and a notably strong live energy. The project centers around brothers Nathan and Daniel Thoen, whose vocal harmonies occupy a central place in the band's identity. Bombargo emerged in the 2010s with a string of singles and EPs that establish a sunny universe, between vintage pop, light groove and melodic rock, before expanding tours in North America and Europe. Their first studio album, We Are Bombargo, was released in 2022 and extends this aesthetic of bright guitars, supple rhythms and songs open to audience participation. On stage, Bombargo sits in the tradition of indie-pop bands driven by the collective, with a strong penchant for warm arrangements and very physical performances. Bombargo thus champions accessible, rhythmic and unifying music at the crossroads of indie pop, white soul and danceable rock nourished by the heritage of the 1970s.
