Adam Baldwin

Based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Adam Baldwin crafts a rock sound shaded by folk and Americana influences and rooted in Canada’s East Coast scene. First recognized alongside rock singer Matt Mays, with whom he collaborates both live and in the studio, Baldwin later carved out a solo path defined by narrative songwriting focused on everyday life, port cities, and contemporary social tensions. A self-titled debut EP arrived in 2013, followed by the 2016 album No Telling When (Precisely Nineteen Eighty-Five), on which he honed a palette blending electric guitars, keyboards, mid-tempo rock, and more stripped-down ballads. In 2019, No Rest for the Wicked carried that thread into darker territory, while 2022’s Concertos & Serenades placed greater emphasis on arrangements and melody. On stage, Baldwin appears with both a full electric outfit and in more intimate setups, moving between clubs, mid-sized venues, and festivals, remaining firmly connected to the Atlantic Canadian music network while steadily reaching a wider audience on tour.
