Asal

Emerging from the anglophone alt‑pop scene, Asal has developed a dark‑pop universe where spare indie production supports direct, emotionally raw lyrics. Her career was first shaped by the EP 'Missing Something', which established a songwriting focus on relationships, longing and emotional ambivalence, set against mid‑tempo rhythms and nocturnal atmospheres. With the full‑length project 'Liar's & Players', Asal broadened her audience beyond her online base and brought her songs to the stage on a first North American headline tour, before joining Artemas for a roughly thirty‑date tour across Europe and North America. The collaboration with producer and DJ Marc Kinchen (MK) on the single 'She's In The Club' added a more club‑oriented dimension to her music while preserving her melodic signatures and introspective vocals. With tracks like 'Tolerance', notably featured on BBC Radio 1, and 'winter's gonna come', Asal refines an aesthetic where alternative pop, melancholic R&B and electronic touches intersect, announcing the EP 'Kiss the Sun' and confirming a trajectory toward intimate, dark and immediately accessible pop.
