LOVEBITES

Formed in Tokyo in 2016, LOVEBITES brings together vocalist Asami, guitarists Midori and Miyako, and drummer Haruna, initially with Miho on bass and from 2022 with Fami. Lovebites plays a heavy metal style that intersects power and speed metal, featuring fast tempos, harmonized guitars, prominent solos and clean vocals that remain central to the songwriting. After The Lovebites EP in 2017, the quintet released Awakening from Abyss the same year, followed by Battle Against Damnation in 2018 and Clockwork Immortality in 2018, cementing a sound influenced by European melodic metal while staying rooted in the Japanese scene. Over the years Lovebites has played in Japan, the UK and at several international festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock, and has shared tour bills with bands like Arch Enemy and DragonForce. Electric Pentagram appeared in 2020, followed by Glory, Glory, to the World in 2021. After Miho's departure and a hiatus, Lovebites resumed activity with Fami and released Judgement Day in 2023, accompanying the band's return to international stages.
