Pastel

Between French and Polynesian roots, Pastel develops a project at the crossroads of soul, R&B, house and music inspired by Brazilian, African and Polynesian influences. Autodidact, he started young with drums and keyboards, in a family environment where Polynesian chants mix with soul and R&B references, before refining a writing oriented toward groove, smooth melodies and warm productions. Based in London, Pastel is part of a scene open to flows between electronic music, funk and alternative pop, with a format in which he writes, produces and performs his own tracks. His path also takes him onto the international stage, notably with an Asia tour, and through several collaborations, including FKJ, Bazzi and Adi Oasis. On streaming platforms, Pastel has circulated tracks such as Samba De Rua and Cabo Player, which well summarize his aesthetic, built from danceable rhythms, soft textures and a vocal that remains central. Alongside music, Pastel designs and creates himself a significant part of his visual universe, extending a writer-producer body of work conceived as a continuum between image, rhythm and sonic identity.
