Abou Tall
Coming from the French rap scene, Abou Tall first drew attention in the early 2010s as part of the duo The Shin Sekaï, formed with Dadju within the collective Wati B. Between melodic rap and French-language R&B, The Shin Sekaï developed a universe combining sentimental lyrics, urban references and pop and Afro influences, carried by the alternation between Abou Tall’s and his partner’s singing and rapping. The duo released several projects, including the mixtapes “The Shin Sekaï, Vol. 1” (2013) and “The Shin Sekaï, Vol. 2” (2014), and the album “Indéfini” in 2016, and established a lasting presence in the francophone urban landscape through numerous collaborations with artists from the Wati B label, both on record and on stage. After that group period, Abou Tall embarked on a more personal path, continuing to write about relationships, everyday life and city living, while maintaining a vocal-rap style at the intersection of rap, R&B and urban pop. Present on French and francophone stages, Abou Tall gradually developed his solo repertoire by releasing singles and features that extended the aesthetic established during The Shin Sekaï era.
