Alex Ramires
Born in Roussillon, in the Isère department, in 1989, Alex Ramirès has built his career between theatre, improvisation and comic writing. He began in Lyon—where he studied art history and film—while participating in the Ligue d’improvisation lyonnaise and performing at the café‑theatre Le Nombril du Monde. Ramirès made his stage debut in the early 2010s with Saison Hein ?, then reworked that first solo with Jocelyn Flipo under the title Serial Lover in 2012, before writing his own solo shows from Alex Ramirès est un grand garçon in 2013 onward. His humour rests on observation, self‑deprecation and a marked taste for pop‑culture references, with a frequently physical performance style and writing attentive to questions of identity, masculinity and representation. After Alex Ramirès fait sa crise in 2015, he gained visibility through appearances on On n’demande qu’à en rire, opening slots for Vincent Dedienne and a segment on Quotidien in 2018. Alongside his stage work he developed video pieces—low‑cost pastiches of clips and films—and created the mini‑series Encore vous ? in 2021. His show Sensiblement viril, created in 2018, marked a more personal turning point, continued by Panache in 2024.
