Abba Mania

Founded in the United Kingdom in the late 1990s, Abba Mania is dedicated to performing the repertoire of the Swedish group ABBA on stage, spanning pop, disco and international popular song. The Abba Mania project operates as a tribute show built around a vocal quartet accompanied by musicians, with particular attention to harmonies, costumes and staging that evoke the concerts of the 1970s. Over successive tours, Abba Mania has established itself on the theatre, concert-hall and festival circuit, first in the UK and then in several European countries and North America, adapting the production to different stage formats. Its repertoire covers ABBA’s best-known hits as well as some less frequently performed tracks, with arrangements close to the original recordings but conceived for live performance. Alongside its tours, Abba Mania has released several recordings of ABBA covers on major music platforms, used as an extension of the show. This activity places Abba Mania within the continuum of tribute shows that keep the pop heritage of the 1970s circulating among audiences of different generations.
