Sciahri

Active on the Italian techno scene, Sciahri has been developing since the mid-2010s a dark, detail-oriented aesthetic built on hypnotic rhythms, dense textures and a tension that often approaches industrial ambient. Based in Florence, he first drew attention with a series of maxi releases on European labels specialising in techno before cofounding Sublunar Records, which became the main outlet for his vinyl and digital productions. Sciahri's releases favour extended structures, meticulous work on atmospheres and a constant play between club energy and more abstract zones, feeding both his DJ sets and live performances. Alongside his solo work, he is involved in the duo project Unknot, where he explores even more fragmented and experimental forms of techno, strengthening ties with a European scene attentive to immersive, repetitive approaches. Regularly appearing in clubs and at festivals, Sciahri situates his work within the continuity of an Italian techno tradition focused on sonic depth and the search for new rhythmic nuances.
