Yves V

Based in Antwerp, Belgium, Yves V, whose real name is Yves Van Geertsom, has since the late 2000s developed a career centered on electro house, progressive house and dutch house, in a register tailored for both large festivals and clubs. He breaks through with the track 'Insane Pressure' in 2009, then follows with productions and collaborations with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Basto, Sander van Doorn, Chuckie, Quintino, Sam Feldt, Alok and Steve Aoki, which permanently places him in the European EDM scene. Yves V is also associated with Tomorrowland for a long time, where he performs as a resident DJ and from 2012 develops his V Sessions space. His discography relies mainly on a steady stream of singles released on Spinnin' Records, Smash the House or Controversia, including 'We Got That Cool' in 2019 with Afrojack and Icona Pop, as well as the EP Money Money / Show Me in 2019. Over the years, Yves V evolves his formula between instrumental tracks with upfront energy, melodic house with pop refrains and productions more open to crossovers with commercial dance, without leaving a festival aesthetic marked by clear build-ups, strong rhythms and very legible electronic textures.
