Will Hoge
Born in Nashville and raised in Franklin, Tennessee, Will Hoge has since the late 1990s developed a songwriting rooted in Americana, Southern rock and alternative country, with a marked affinity for road songs, everyday stories, and a direct approach to American rock. After an initial stint in a band and then a solo debut around the Nashville scene, Will Hoge released Carousel in 2001, followed by Blackbird on a Lonely Wire in 2003, before pursuing a career largely built on touring and releases on independent labels. His discography shows a continuity between rock guitars, electric folk and country inflections, from The Man Who Killed Love in 2006 to Draw the Curtains in 2007, The Wreckage in 2009, Number Seven in 2011, Never Give In in 2013, Small Town Dreams in 2015, Anchors in 2017, My American Dream in 2018, Tiny Little Movies in 2020, Wings on My Shoes in 2022, Tenderhearted Boys in 2024 and Sweet Misery in 2025. Alongside his performing career, Will Hoge has also written for other artists, notably Even If It Breaks Your Heart, covered by Eli Young Band, and has occasionally collaborated with musicians such as Vince Gill or Sheryl Crow. Present in both club circuits and on country, rock and Americana stages, Will Hoge maintains an electric songwriter format, carried by a rough voice and a sober narrative sensibility.
