Triptides

Triptides is a psychedelic project that began in the early 2010s in Bloomington, Indiana. It is centered on composer and multi‑instrumentalist Glenn Brigman before relocating to Los Angeles and integrating into the Californian psych‑rock scene. Initially marked by a lo‑fi sound and home recordings, Triptides gradually honed a songwriting approach blending psychedelic rock, sunlit pop and surf influences, driven by reverb‑soaked guitars, melodic bass lines and echo‑drenched vocals. Early albums like “Psychic Summer” (2011), “Sun Pavilion” (2012) and “Predictions” (2013) established the mix of 60s heritage and a DIY ethos, while “Azur” (2015), “Afterglow” (2017), “Visitors” (2018) and “Alter Echoes” (2021) reflect tighter production and a more focused collective performance. On stage, Triptides most often functions as a trio, translating studio arrangements into more direct formats suited to indie clubs and festivals across the US and Europe. Between regular recording sessions and touring, Triptides maintains a dense discography that includes psych‑pop ballads, hypnotic instrumental tracks and more garage‑oriented songs.
