The Kolors

Formed in Naples in 2009, The Kolors revolves around Stash Fiordispino, Alex Fiordispino, and, in its current lineup, Dario Iaculli. The band develops a sound at the crossroads of pop rock, funk and disco pop, with a strong emphasis on direct choruses, danceable rhythms, and an aesthetic often nourished by the 1980s. After early onstage performances between Naples and Milan, notably at the Le Scimmie club, The Kolors drew more attention by opening for artists such as Paolo Nutini, Gossip, Hurts or Atoms for Peace. A debut album, I Want, appeared in 2014, followed by Out in 2015, the year when The Kolors won the Amici show and significantly broadened its audience in Italy with songs sung in English. The group continued with You in 2017, then began a sharper turn toward Italian from Frida (May, May, May), presented at the Sanremo Festival 2018. Over the years, The Kolors alternated pop collaborations and a more funk orientation, as on Pensare male with Elodie, before refocusing its identity on a contemporary disco vein with Italodisco in 2023. This phase continued with Un ragazzo una ragazza at Sanremo 2024, then Karma in 2024 and Tu con chi fai l’amore at Sanremo 2025, in a more synth-driven, light and immediately melodic format.
