Ada

Born in Cologne under the name Michaela Dippel, Ada established herself in the early 2000s on the German electronic scene at the crossroads of microhouse, minimal, soft techno, and a discreet pop carried by her voice. Her first notable appearance dates back to 2002 on Metope's track 'Livedriver', a producer linked to Areal Records, followed by a string of singles released on the same label, including 'Blindhouse / Luckycharm' the same year and 'Believer / Arriba Amoeba' in 2003. With the album Blondie in 2004, Ada developed a distinctive writing, comprised of spare rhythms, supple melodies, and vocal fragments that create an atmosphere both intimate and mobile, between electronic abstraction and a decentered song. Over the years, Ada has continued this work across club formats and more dreamy tracks, notably Adaptations in 2009 on Kompakt, then Meine zarten Pfoten in 2011 on Pampa Records. Present in European house and techno circuits, Ada built a career linked to important Cologne labels while maintaining a personal approach, where minimal precision coexists with a light, velvety pop sensibility.
