Tamer Hosny

Born in Cairo in 1977, Tamer Hosny established himself in the early 2000s in Egyptian pop and Arabic variety, with a repertoire focused on romantic songs and productions that blend Arabic pop, Khaliji influences, and contemporary arrangements aimed at a broad audience across the Middle East. His rise began first with mixtapes and then a collaborative album with Sherine in 2002, before a solo debut with Hob in 2004. Tamer Hosny went on to release several albums, including Enayah Bethebbak (2006), Ha'esh Hayaty (2009), Bahebak Enta (2013), 180° (2014), Omry Ebtada (2016), Eish Beshoqak (2018), Khaleek Fouqani (2020), Aashanji (2022) and Hormone El Saada (2024). His music rests on direct melodies, sentimental ballads, upbeat pop tracks and diction rooted in Egyptian Arabic, with incursions into other registers of regional popular song. In parallel, Tamer Hosny pursues an acting career in cinema and television, notably with the Omar & Salma film series, which strengthens his presence in the Arab-speaking cultural space. He has also signed several occasional collaborations, from Quincy Jones to Shaggy, Snoop Dogg, Ryan Tedder, or Al Shami, while continuing a regular live performance activity between Egypt, the Gulf and the major Arab stages.
