Radium

Active on the French rave scene since the early 1990s, Radium has developed a fast, abrasive form of hardcore techno associated with the rise of frenchcore. Born Daniel Técoult in France, he first gained attention as one half of the duo Micropoint with Al Core, a formation that made its mark in the free-party circuit and industrial nights. Alongside his work in Micropoint, Radium built a solo trajectory within the Audiogenic label and its artistic milieu, releasing numerous maxi singles and projects oriented toward hardcore, industrial and gabber influences. Radium’s productions are characterized by high tempos, saturated kicks, acidic lines and frequent use of samples drawn from science fiction and horror, occasionally detouring into rhythms reminiscent of drum and bass. As a DJ and producer he performs regularly at specialized clubs and festivals across Europe, while remaining connected to a network of underground organizers. This ongoing activity places Radium at the heart of a scene where sound systems, independent labels and the rave public intersect, with a sonic aesthetic that favors intense rhythms and a dark, futuristic imagery.
